Job Description

Business Data Scientist London/HybridUp to £45k + bonus + benefitsBusiness Data Scientist is required by thriving insurance group. This role will be supporting the Lead Data Scientist with exciting growth initiatives, undertaking direct detailed technical analysis and design implementations of analysis to address specificquestions. You will be engaging with stakeholders and clients to gather requirements, so an inquisitive and commercial nature is key here.Our client offers a great base salary, bonus and excellent benefits. They also operate a hybrid working model and have beautiful offices, with great views of the City of London.Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of predictive analytics to provide insights on reserves, capital and the key drivers of performance.
  • Use strategic tools and techniques for delivering insights to the business teams.
  • Work with Operations and IT to manage projects to implement the new models into production.
  • Recommend new tools and methods of analysis that can improve the understanding of both past and potential future performance.
  • Understand and highlight any material modelling risks to key stakeholders
  • Assist in the development of new methods to enhance understanding of the key drivers of performance and predict future performance of the business
  • are understood consistently across the relevant user groups.
  • Present results of analysis to a variety of audiences, both internal and external, with differing levels of experience
Key Requirements:
  • Graduate with 1+ years of commercial experience in a Data Analyst/Data Science role
  • Experience with Python, SQL and R
  • Inquisitive nature and commercial acumen
  • Stakeholder engagement skills, working with external clients
