* Basel 3.1 experience and knowledge* Demonstrable experience of being Hands On in projects* UAT, RAID Log, Project planning, influencing stakeholdersA well respected private bank are seeking an energetic Senior Business Analyst that can also act as a Project Manager for a 12 - 14 month project that will lead to 100% compliance with the latest Basel 3.1 Regulatory rules. At the same time the bank is upgrading their Regulatory system platform so you will be involved in this, liaising with developers and the I.T team / PMO. The bank is a pure play private bank with ultra-high net wealth customers offering structured loan products.You will be involved in all aspects of the project from start to end, acting as the driving force of the project ensuring each delivery team are informed and coordinated, stakeholders are kept abreast, risks and issues are escalatied early and appropriately. The Basel 3.1 project team will consist of working with Vendor consultants & developers and the SME teams will be the Regulatory, Credit and Risk functions. You will report to the Head of Regulatory Accounting.Your responsibilities include:* Prepare and manage all aspects of Basel 3.1 project compliance, including project and resourcing planning, setting up and embedding project governance, gather business requirements, planning strategy and approach documents, executing UAT test scripts andbudget tracking.* You will work with DBAs to co-ordinate test environment, code promotion, release and roll-back contingency planning.* You will prepare project status packs for the Project Steering Committee, including a project health, RAID log and escalating issues in a timely manner* Preliminary scoping of the areas of Basel 3.1 which impacts the bank have already been scoped out. You will review and add to the scoping document and will be working with relevant SMEs and analyse and understanding the detailed requirements of Basel 3.1,perform a regulatory gap analysis to determine what data requirements are missing and what processing gaps requirements to be filled.* Conduct roadshows and education sessions to stakeholders and BAU users outline the impacts of the change and gather other non-functional requirements or business workflow requirements e.g. reconciliation, performance, MI and User interface/navigation etc* Working with the Globus team and IT to assist in their data mining and solution designed to ensure buy-in, as well as test data item for accuracy and relevance* Working with vendor consultants to ensure accurate calculation and reporting based on Basel 3.1 rules* You will also be on top of test defect management as well as working proactively clearing themYour skills and experience: * You would have worked as a senior business analyst or project manager in the regulatory reporting space with demonstrable history of successful implementation for ideally 5 yrs.* You are skilled at collaborating and influencing the direction of projects to secure necessary sign-off ensuring project momentum* Experienced with managing of IT consultants and developers, we as well as working with third party regulatory solution software providers* You have strong analytical skills and can manipulate and interrogate large volumes of data with strong excel/SQL or VBA skills* You have a strong foundation and working knowledge of the technical rules regarding CoRep (in particular Financial Collateral Comprehensive Method), LiqRep, FinRep, Pillar 3, Bank of England Statistic reporting etc.* You will have the ability to navigate complex rules, ambiguous interpretations, and break data dependencies to drive forward the project.* You will be self-reliant and be resourceful, researching and reading CRR rules* You enjoy being hands-on, have a natural intellectual curiosity to challenge and apply professional scepticism, independent validating information when appropriate.* Ideally you will have a numeric degree and a project management qualification.
