Job Description

AV Support TechnicianLocation: London, EC3ASalary: £34,000 to £38,000 (DOE)Are you an experienced AV Support Technician seeking the next step in your career How about joining the worlds largest independent insurance broker, recognized among the 50 best large companies to work for in 2022In this role, based in London, you will be a crucial part of the Audio-Visual team, offering technical support across all meeting rooms. Collaborate with stakeholders at various levels, including executive management, to ensure impeccable and timely service,fostering smooth technical operations for meetings.   • Set up and support video/audio conferences, ensuring seamless connectivity and good audio/video transmission.
  • Provide unscheduled support for AV equipment setup in conference rooms.
  • Address and troubleshoot audio/video conferencing issues, recommending corrective actions.
  • Maintain all multi-media/presentation rooms in good working order.
  • Offer support for presentation/multi-media meeting rooms, including duration support.
  • Familiarity with major conference platforms like MS Teams, Cisco Webex, Zoom, and others.
  • Prompt response to emergency/ad-hoc requests.
  • Assist with IT-related inquiries during support sessions.
  • Coordinate equipment loans and hires to meet client specifications.
  • Conduct regular preventive room checks and report faults promptly.
  • Proactively maintain and report to ensure all AV equipment meets the highest standards.
  • Collaborate on first- and second-line fault repairs, working closely with vendors for hardware, configuration, and maintenance issues.
Experience Required:
  • Previous experience in an AV Technician role within a corporate setting.
  • Familiarity with major conference platforms and technologies.
  • Enthusiastic approach with a commitment to delivering excellent service and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, anticipating and addressing client needs.
