Job Description

Are you an experienced auditor that’s fed up of being overworked and undervalued and are looking for an opportunity that offers continued career progression prospects with a real work life balanceWe are supporting a highly regarded mid sized firm based in the City that were recently voted one of the countries best employers with their search for a new Audit and Accounts Manager.Working directly with Partners, this opportunity offers the chance to progress quickly, amongst a team with one of the highest staff retention rates in the industry, due to continued development, training opportunities and great benefits.Whilst controlling a mixed portfolio of audit and non audit clients, this role also offers the chance to also undertake ad hoc tasks such as corporate finance and forensic work alongside Partners.The firm also has a supportive and inclusive culture, where social life and work-life balance is important.Key Responsibilities of this Audit Manager role include;

  • Oversee a mixed client portfolio along with the planning, fieldwork and reporting of assignments.
  • Review files prepared by junior colleagues and undertake more complex preparation work ahead of Partner sign off.
  • Prepare and review UK accounts and corporation tax returns.
  • Undertake assignments alongside partners on ad hoc projects, plus supporting with preparation of tenders for new work and fee agreements.
  • Work closely with clients, managing communications and identifying opportunities for further business development.
  • Support and mentor junior colleagues to ensure their continued development.
You
  • ACA / ACCA Qualified with post qualified experience.
  • Up to date knowledge of tax regulations and international reporting standards including FRS 102 and IFRS.
  • Prior experience of managing a client portfolio of small and large enterprises.
  • Knowledge of Caseware and Alphatax would also be beneficial.
