Job Description

Associate Director UXHybrid (London 2 days per week)An excellent opportunity has arisen with a global brand for an Associate Director for Experience Design / UX. The Associate Director for Experience Design will lead the team to deliver high-quality consistent experiences that solve business and user problemsby delivering digital products and services for their users providing strategic leadership for design and user research. This is an exciting opportunity to continue to promote business and organisational change by putting our key audiences and staff at theheart of all activity.Role and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design and user research team providing the most effective and efficient balance between in-sourced, co-sourced and outsourced services
  • Ensure departments across understand the strategic view of user experience and service design and how user needs, business goals and technology requirements can work together
  • Leading the team to engage with and inspire the organisation with a user-first perspective
  • Support stakeholders to be a more impactful organisation, by using design and user research to solve real business goals and user needs
  • Contribute to a diverse and inclusive culture across the organisation, collaborating across departments
  • The role is part of the senior leadership team and reports directly to the Chief Information Officer on the Executive Leadership Team
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • A collaborative leader and strong communicator
  • Experience working in a digital environment either in an agency or internal digital team
  • An excellent understanding of a variety of design and user research techniques
  • Experience leading designers and/or user research practitioners
  • An excellent understanding of agile processes and product teams
  • Experience with a wide range of techniques. User research, product design and service design
  • An excellent design eye and ability to offer constructive feedback around design
