Job Description

This position aims to assist Finance Business Partners in business planning and reporting by producing annual budgets and long-term forecasts. The Assistant Finance Business Partner will provide financial analysis to aid decision-making and is expectedto eventually take on responsibility for partnering with underwriting divisions.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Business Partnering:
    • Support Finance Business Partners in understanding financial results against Plan/Prior Year.
    • Ensure effective communication of financial results and accurate flow of numbers to actuarial and financial processes.
    • Work directly with underwriters to produce monthly/quarterly premium forecasts with detailed explanations.
  • Business Plan/Forecast:
    • Assist in the production of annual business plans and Syndicate Business Forecasts.
    • Help generate reports reflecting historical and planned performance for various stakeholders.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
  • Essential:
    • Understanding of general insurance financial processes.
    • Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting.
    • Strong verbal and written reporting skills.
  • Desirable:
    • Knowledge of Lloyd’s insurance market and its processes.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Essential:
    • Exam qualified in ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CA.
