This organisation provides services through a network of offices across the Lancashire and North Manchester area. They are well established and prudently managed by a board of Trustees who are keen to expand the operation. A key part of this growth willinvolve appointing a Management Accountant to be responsible for monitoring performance, maintaining all financial records and continuous improvement in the finance function.This will be a very broad role and would suit someone with experience of all aspects of a finance role within an SME, ideally in a third sector or charitable organisation. The duties associated with this position will be: Preparation of the monthly management accounts with commentary Reporting and analysis of financial performance Monitoring cashflow, maintaining cash book and bank recs Maintaining sales and purchase ledger Supporting budget preparation and financial planning Liaising with external auditors and advisers Maintaining and improving accountancy software and systemsA key part of this role will involve working with a variety of internal stakeholders in addition to developing working relationships with external agencies, professional bodies and charities commission. Both strong reporting and verbal communication skillswill therefore be essential along with desire to ensure the finance department delivers an excellent service.The role will report to the CEO and you will interact with all of the SMT to ensure finance supports decision making. Suitable applicants to this vacancy would ideally be part or fully qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA with previous experience of a ManagementAccounting or Finance Manager type role.
