Test EngineerChippenham, WiltshireUp to £42,000 DOE + Pension + Life Cover + Dental + Optical + 27+8 days holidayTest Evaluation Engineer sought for a Chippenham based manufacturer offering huge development and progression. Part of a Global manufacturing brand employing over 17,000 people this role offers vast opportunities to grow through the engineering team.The role will be suited to those with an electrical/electronic degree that possess a good knowledge of oscilloscopes, data acquisition software, circuit building, and measurement of components under live dynamic operation. Those with similar previous experienceor transferable skills are also welcomed to apply.Working in the Product engineering group you will be responsible for assisting in the evaluation and rating of new and existing high-power semiconductor products. You will be expected to write technical reports and produce data sheets for the companiesproducts as well as carry out qualification tests on products and provide technical inquiries from customers while building and maintaining strong customer relationships.The company are a true believer in investing in people, you will receive further tailored training both in terms of engineering and process/lean methodologies including kaizen and six sigma green belt training.The role in brief:*Evaluation of new and existing products* Writing technical reports and producing data sheets*Providing non-standard tests according to the customers requirements*Answer technical inquires from customers*Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and other departments within the business.The person:*Degree qualified electrical/electronic engineering *Possess a good knowledge of oscilloscopes, data acquisition software, circuit building, and measurement of components under live dynamic operation.*Previous experience working within the power electronic industry and testing electronic components to IEC standards would be highly advantageous, but all are welcome to apply.
