Our Client is a leading solution provider to the Police, Criminal Justice, Emergency Services and Critical Responder sectors across the world; helping to deliver effective public services. For over 30 years they have been leading the way in solutions andservices for Emergency Services.They are looking for a Project Engineer to join their Engineering team on a permanent basis.As a project engineer, our Client would need you to help them deliver their solutions into live operational service for our suite of products across our entire customer portfolio. If you are looking for the next step in your career, what better than deployingmission critical integrated bespoke software and solutions into blue light emergency services market.Location: home-based (you may require attending team meetings at the Chippenham offices and potentially client site visits within the UK)Salary: Up to £35k per annumSome of the key duties & responsibilities will involve:* Building, Commissioning and upgrades of SSS Public Safetys DSX, Vision & ControlWorks product solutions into and within our customer environments.* Fault finding Clients product suite of solution/s at both hardware and software levels.* The role holder will be required to work professionally in liaison with several internal teams to coordinate various activities and gather / provide information required to complete the tasks at hand.* The role is primarily completed on customer sites as demand requires, therefore you will be expected to work from a variety of locations and extensive travel should be expected, including overnight stays.* The role holder would need to accept a company car, within the allotted band for business travel.* The role can involve extensive customer contact on both a technical and non-technical level requiring a professional and adaptable approach to communication and interaction / service.* The role will require working both in a team and, potentially autonomously where projects dictate a limited engineering requirement. An increasing level of autonomy is typically achieved after some time in post and suitable experience has been gained.* Continually following and adhering to Clients outlined process & procedures.* Completing all activities within set deadlines and report appropriately any difficulties to achieve delivery milestones.Our ideal candidate will have/be:* Educated to HND/HNC level or relevant industry experience with a minimum of 2-years proven experience in a comparable role/s.* Experience in troubleshooting and problem solving* A good understanding of Microsoft active directory / domain architecture* Proven experience administering and working with Microsoft Windows 10, Windows Server up to 2019* Proven Experience deploying Microsoft Windows and server Operating systems* Proven Experience deploying Microsoft Windows Updates (WSUS)* Working knowledge of MySQL/MSSQL (running backups, running queries, etc)* Proven knowledge and experience of virtualisation environments (Hyper-V or VMware)* MS Business Applications experience including Excel, Visio, WordeSift have been appointed as the resource partner and we are managing this role on behalf of our client.
