Production Planner - Lacock, near Chippenham - £25,000-£28,000 DOEWe have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Production Planner to join a market leading food manufacturer based on the outskirts of Chippenham.In this role the successful person will report into the Operations Director and will play a pivotal part in the growth of the business. This will be a hands on, demanding role that will suit a candidate that will enjoy putting great energy into the role. Youwill be working a 4on 4 off 6am-6pm shiftProduction planner main duties will include: To strategically plan, the business performance using the sales forecast To analyse this data and highlight obstacles that stop these orders being achieved Plan product availability and communicate the collection plan with the transport manager. Measure and publish production, sales and producer performance against an agreed plan. Also to ensure once goods are despatched they are received and all PODs are balanced prior to submitting to the accounts team. To create daily plans for the operations team highlighting capacity issues so that labour can be correctly planned in order to hit budget. Forward plan seasonal activity and new products and ensure the team are fully briefed so that capacity issues can be dealt with in a timely manner. Proactively work within the senior management team to improve business performance challenging the status quo and supporting other colleagues to achieve their own objectives. Production planner Keys skills required: Planning experience gained from working in a FMCG food, drink pharma environment Experience of planning systems, MRP systems, spreadsheets, forecasting and stock replenishment A passion for building a strong planning function that will be the hub of the business. Strong work ethic & ability to juggle many balls at the same time Hands on Keen to learn as well as rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in Excellent communication and presentation skillsThis role is commutable from Chippenham, Trowbridge, Devizes, Bath, Melksham, Lacock Key Words: Planner, MRP Scheduler, Production Controller
