This supports the creation of strong and vibrant communities.They make a difference to people’s lives - and this is something they want to continue doing, for more people, every day, and they have ambitious plans to simplify and modernise their organisation, to become a simply brilliant landlord.About the roleOur client now has a fantastic opportunity for a full time permanent Operations Manager M&E.The role is their specialist advisor, responsible person and budget manager for M&E and will manage a small team of professional and trades staff, consultants, contractors and other partners within a variety of budgets and processes. You will build up a small team to be professional, efficient and provide the business value for money.You will be responsible for maintenance of systems including gas and electrical heating, water hygiene, heat recovery ventilation, extract fans, fire protection, lighting and emergency lighting, door entry, electrical testing and rewires, and other M&E systems.You will work with the Group Responsive Maintenance Manager to ensure that a robust performance management system is implemented to ensure compliance is maintained.The role will require you to produce informative reports as required including statutory and regulatory compliance and performance reports for the wider management team.About youIt is essential that you have a relevant building, maintenance, compliance or facilities management qualification e.g. HNC in Building or NEBOSH General (or equivalent) or by exception, qualified by experience.You must also be Gas Safe registered and have CPD/training, good awareness and understanding of regulations and CoP for:•Legionella Control for Responsible Persons/understanding of L8, the Control of Legionella and HSG274/2.You will have previous Gas safety and landlord responsibilities and up to date knowledge of health and safety in Housing and construction. Significant, proven experience with/in Housing Associations and significant proven plumbing services experience is also required for this role.You must have the ability to perform risk assessments to understand risk level, significance and scope; and demonstrate experience and skills managing customer and contractor relationships to ensure a high level of customer care and satisfaction.It is essential that you are flexible with working hours to include occasional out of hours activities and attending evening meetings as and when required.BenefitsIn support and recognition of their colleagues who will help them deliver their employer strategy, they offer a fantastic benefits package.
