Job Description Morgan Mckinley is recruiting for a Management Accountant who enjoys Business Partnering, which is a huge part of this role Morgan Mckinley is recruiting for a Management Accountant who enjoys Business Partnering, which is a huge part of this role. The position is based near Chippenham and working for a large owner managed business who are growing and looking for a dynamic ManagementAccountant who is keen to add value and get involved in the organisation with ideas and improvements. The successful Management Accountant role is offered a Hybrid basis, working 1-2 days from home, working in a small team reporting to the financial Controller. The role is offered with 25 days annual leave, hybrid working, discretionary bonus, flexible workingand comprehensive benefits package. Reporting to the FC you will be tasked with the following:
  • Responsible for the production of the management accounts for 2 of the groups companies.
  • Reporting and reconciliation of stock and packaging
  • Delivery of the clear analysis of drivers of performance of pricing and margin for cost and clients.
  • Working with internal stakeholders to forecast and manage the business unit costs across the business and identity any cost saving opportunities and efficiencies.
  • Driving and embedding transformation in operations and finance to achieve the above with the development of people, systems, and processes, driving new initiatives to achieve continuous improvements.
  • Responsible for forecasting, updates, annual budgeting for 2 companies in the group.
  • Analysis of costing and standard costs across 2 companies looking at materials price, utilisation, and labour.
  • Management of month end processes including ledger reviews, accruals and prepayments and P&L creation
  • Balance sheet reconciliation and preparation and presentation of commentary for post month and business reviews.
What you will need:
  • Experience in job roles such as Management Accountant/ Assistant Management Accountant/ Finance Business Partner/ Financial Planning and Analysis/ Management Accountant.
  • Qualification - Ideally qualified CIMA/ ACA or ACCA, or QBE with relevant manufacturing experience and looking to add value to the organisation
  • Relevant manufacturing or a similar industry experience.
  • Mentoring, coaching or supervising people would be advantageous as this team grows and will have a direct report.
