Job Description

IT Support Technician - Chippenham - GBP £29,000 (Hybrid/Field)My client is one of the UKs foremost IT Companies and is in the midst of company growth! They are seeking a competent IT Support Technician to join their team. This position presents a wonderful chance to join a great company and team with plenty of potentialfor growth.As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support and troubleshooting services for desktops, servers, and software. Your role will require the highest level of technical proficiency, responsiveness, and customer service.Self-motivation, self-confidence, and enthusiasm are qualities that would serve you well in this role.Must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle. Key Responsibilities:
  • Continuously develop knowledge and skills, particularly in portal development, to prepare for future projects and progression opportunities
  • Provide first and second-level support for the user base, including troubleshooting software, hardware, and business applications.
  • Provide first and second-level support for IT systems used by users, addressing various IT problems.
  • Work closely with the IT Team remotely to provide support
  • Travel to local sites in the Chippenham area
The ideal candidate will have/be able to:
  • Previous Helpdesk Experience (Telephone/Email/Face-to-Face Support)
  • 2 years of relevant experience or technical support
  • Basic Networking Knowledge - LAN/WAN
  • Office 365
  • Excellent communication skills and team player
  • Be decisive and have the passion to problem-solve
  • Strong customer/client service
  • Hardware Setups - Laptops, PCs, Macs and Mobiles for End Users
  • Proficient with Windows 10/11
