Job Description

Somerset Care are looking for Full & Part time Clinical Health Care Workers to join the Community team working near Chippenham, Wiltshire.. As a Clinical Health Care Worker youll be using advanced healthcare skills to support people living in their own homes, who have complex clinical needs and require round the clock support. Often our customers require two to one care, so you will work alongside your colleagues to provide continuity in care that supports their overall wellbeing. Your skills and ability to offer exceptional person centred care will enable them to retain their independence, giving them the confidence to maintain their lifestyle and relationships with those around them. You’ll be required to work between the hours of 8am and 8pm, typically with two 12 hours shifts per week, although additional hours can be discussed and are available, including the option of Sleep In shifts. We run our rotas over a two week period and will include alternate weekend working. If you’ve got flexibility in your working week then we can discuss various shift patterns with you so please do give us a call. About the Clinical Health Care role: You’ll be joining a dedicated team of community health care professionals devoted to delivering quality care, supporting daily living routines and offering companionship in a way that shows our customers respect and kindness, just as they deserve. No two days are the same but each day you’ll be rewarded by knowing you have made a real difference to those who need it most. We match our support to each customers needs and so the ways in which this role helps, differs from customer to customer. You’ll be required to undertake a variety of clinical tasks that include, PEG feeding and medications and Tracheostomy care, and suctioning, all with comprehensive training from healthcare professionals. From domestic duties and personal care to emotional support, social interaction or accompanying customers to their appointments, the care plans are all tailored to the individual. About you You’ll need to have previous care experience, preferably within a similar role or hospital setting, however we can provide full training for anyone without clinical experience. You’ll have a warm hearted, friendly manner, with lots of patience and a natural desire to help.
