Service Manager Our client Blakehill Healthcare are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to provide senior leadership for our Childrens Homes in Chippenham. Role and Responsibilities for the Service Manager Oversee the daily operationof our homes, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children under their care Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards Supervise and support the staff team / residentialcare workers, ensuring they deliver high-quality care to children, including emotional and practical support Foster positive relationships between staff, children and families, ensuring the best outcomes for each persons long-term care and development Managebudgets and resources effectively, ensuring that the home is financially stable and well-maintained, with all equipment and facilities kept in good order Uphold the values and mission of the organisation, promoting the rights, autonomy, and dignity of allthose under their care Maintain accurate records and reports, including activities, incidents, and any necessary paperwork such as assessments and plans. Ensure regular meetings are held with children, young people, and staff to review and monitor qualityof care. Initiate joint working with external agencies to ensure the provision of services that meet the needs of individuals, and promote their social inclusion. What you will need: The ideal Registered Manager candidate should have a Level 5 Diploma in Leadershipand Management (Residential Childcare) or be working towards A minimum of 2 years experience in managing an Ofsted home that carries a rating of good or above Experience working with children and young people aged 16+ with challenging behaviours. Excellentknowledge of current legislation, including The Childrens Homes England Regulations 2015, Quality Standards 2015, the Childrens Act 1989, Children Act 2004, Supported Accommodations Regulations 2023 and other relevant legislation related to residential childrenshomes.
