Job Description

Our Client is a leading solution provider to the Police, Criminal Justice, Emergency Services and Critical Responder sectors across the world; helping to deliver effective public services. For over 30 years they have been leading the way in solutions andservices for the Emergency Services.They are looking for an Automation Team Lead to join their Solution Assurance Test team on a permanent basis.If you are passionate about information technology and have significant experience in cyber security, we would love to hear from you.Location: Chippenham offices and potentially client site visits within the UK)Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:30Salary: CompetitivePurpose of the role:This role will have line management responsibilities within QA, with the progression, personal development and performance management of reporting staff being an essential part of this role. Experience with Behavioural Driven Development (BDD) as a software design framework is highly desirable.Some of the key duties & responsibilities will envolve:* Defining/Creating/Assisting/Troubleshooting the development of Test Automation Framework, Standards, Procedures* Processes, Toolsets and Best practices as related to Test Automation* Managing the Daily/Weekly activities of the Test Automation Team Members and support the onboarding of new team members* Providing technical guidance and expertise to team members, colleagues and/or customers* Directing/planning necessary extra work, and rework and re-plan activities* Maintaining and Guiding Test Automation Suites Execution and undertaking analysis of results to ensure that software meets or Exceeds specified standards and/or client and technical requirements* Working with project stakeholders to determine the appropriate quality initiatives to implement during* Supporting Quality Assurance Lead in upward stakeholder management and day-to-day* Management of the Automation Test team* Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with other IT services, IT solution functions and customers to expedite delivery of IT solutions* Working within quality assurance frameworks to ensure stability, efficiency and scalability* Taking responsibility for integrity of testing and acceptance activities and coordinates the execution of these activities* Providing authoritative advice and guidance on any aspect of test planning and executionOur ideal candidate will have/be:* Expertise in both Defining and Creating Test Automation Frameworks* Significant experience in Agile environment and DevOps* Solid understanding of VSTS/Azure CI/CD Pipelines* Expertise in setting up Automation Suites in CI/CD Environment* Experience developing API automated testing solutions using UFT, Selenium, JUnit, Soap UI and JMeter* Ability to determine strategic direction and not just tactical* Strong programming and technical experience as this role will require digging into code and interfacing with developers and delivery managers* Knowledge of tools and processes for results reporting* Experience with testing big enterprise, high-traffic and multi-tier applications using MS Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS)* Experience managing teams of Automation Engineers strongly preferredFor the security clearance reasons - please only apply for this position if you have full right to work in the UK and you have been living in the UK for last 5 years.eSift have been appointed as the resource partner and we are managing this role on behalf of our client.
