Job Description

Are you a Deburrer looking to work for a more established local manufacturing business Want to work in a modern facility with state of the art equipment, plenty of overtime, and an environment that encourages training and development Then we want to hearfrom you!The company are long established, family run business that specialise in the manufacture of precision components to the Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Defence industries. As part of their continuing expansion they have an opportunity for a Deburrer to work withintheir modern manufacturing site in Nottingham. Working alongside a team of highly skilled machinists, youll be given full responsibility for the finishing of pre machined parts. The business has invested heavily in the last 12 months purchasing brand newmachines, along with refurbished offices and site facilities.Benefits include Hourly rate of up to £13- £13.50 p/h depending on experience, overtime during the week and weekends, 32 days holiday, company pension, and much moreResponsibilities of the Deburrer include -

  • Deburring of pre machined parts and components
  • Lapping, surface finishing, and polishing to specification
  • Visual inspection for any defects before loading into an ultrasonic cleaning machine
  • Unloading parts from the cleaning cycle, inspecting again before loading into stillages or containers
  • Transferring finished parts to the QC dept for final pass off
  • General housekeeping and ensuring all work areas are clean and tidy
Ideal applicants for the Deburrer role will have the following skills / experience- Previous experience in a similar role, finishing, dressing and cleaning pre machined parts- Understanding of how to deburr, use of a lapping machine, and polishing- Good eye for detail, spotting defects or potential issues before the parts go through the cleaning process- Have a strong stable working history within the manufacturing industry, and be able to provide references when requiredWorking hours are 39hrs per week Monday to Friday, on daysASC Connections Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
