Vacancy Ref: JR1377Role: Electrical Sales ManagerIndustry: Electrical products distributionLocation: East London, Chigwell / Woodford areaSalary: up to circa £40K + bonuses (OTE circa £45K)We have a fantastic opportunity for a customer facing sales person with excellent electrical product knowledge and supervisory experience to join a fast growing, highly successful business with exciting plans for the future.You will possess an extensive knowledge of electrical products with excellent experience in a sales environment.You will have the ability to manage customer accounts for both new and existing business as well as overseeing a small team of staff.You will need comprehensive knowledge and understanding of electrical products in all areas including cables, wiring accessories, lighting, switchgear, controls, energy management, safety and security.Exceeding sales targets and building strong customer relations will be second nature to you.PURPOSE OF THE JOB:The Electrical Sales Manager assumes responsibility for the Electrical Sales team (trade counter staff), focusing on achieving maximum efficiency, service, and profitable sales for the organisation.With the support from senior management, the Electrical Sales Manager will implement the companys sales strategy and monitor effectiveness via meaningful KPIs.Assisting with drafting of annual Electrical Sales budgets for senior management approval, and will include management, development, and motivation of the Electrical Sales team to achieve these targets.Develop relationships with key customers and strategic partners, and assist in identifying new business opportunities to generate profitable sales growth.The Electrical Sales Manager will, amongst other responsibilities, deal with suppliers, negotiate and extend the range of products supplied, organise trade days, expand on the sales, deal with larger key customers, attend site to quote on potential projects.KEY DELIVERABLES: Manage, motivate, and develop the Trade Counter Sales team to achieve the best results possible through the setting of activity plans and sales targets Seek to understand the value proposition and customer base of the business Meet with Trade Counter Sales team regularly to assess Electrical Sales team performance against KPIs Drive and implement operational improvements to achieve Electrical Sales team KPIs Assist senior management in drafting the annual Electrical Sales budget for approval Assist senior management in implementing the companys Electrical Sales strategy and sales budget Network with customers to develop relationships, ensure service delivery, drive customer satisfaction through Customer First philosophy, and grow sales Spot market opportunities for new customers & implement new business initiatives across the new business and sales teams Assist with monthly reporting on Electrical Sales performance against budget and reporting on variancesRESPONSIBILITIES: Direct, manage and motivate Electrical Sales team including leading and monitoring the overall performance of the Electrical Sales team Ensure effective communication, support and assistance between Electrical Sales team and rest of the organisation Direct, manage, maintain and improve processes and procedures for all Electrical Sales activities and operations Review and report on all Electrical Sales KPIs monthly to senior management Manage performance, development, coaching and general support of all Electrical Sales team members Training of Trade Counter Sales team members as required (e.g. on new products, operational processes) Manage, maintain and enhance customer relationships Assist in drafting the annual Electrical Sales budget and strategy for senior management approval Ensure Electrical Sales team are maximising sales order profitability through offering new products, complementary, associated products to the customer, and upselling where appropriate Lead by example by setting a high standard for all Electrical Sales team members with regards to commitment, commercial activities, work ethic and integrity Ensure the Electrical Sales order book is kept accurate and up-to-date Manage returns process in line with Customer First philosophy In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the jobholder is required to perform other duties assigned by the line manager from time to timeWhats on offerExcellent basic salary of up to £40,000 for an exceptional candidateAn additional bonus available of up to circa £5,000 per annumPension SchemeOnsite parkingGenerous Holiday Scheme -
