Job Description

Ford & Stanley – The Rail Recruitment Experts are recruiting a Project Engineer for a specialist in Rail Engineering services.The OpportunityFord & Stanley Recruitment are partnering with a Rail Engineering business in the Midlands on their search for an Electrical Engineer to lead a variety of projects. This role will involve a variety of technical tasks such as writing maintenanceinstructions, providing feedback and guidance on design specifications as well as requiring the successful candidate to complete hands-on engineering tasks as required.Location:Chesterfield. Flexible hybrid working available but the role will also require travel and nights away.Role and Responsibilities:

  • Leading a variety of Rail engineering projects,
  • Writing technical documents such as maintenance instructions
  • Providing support and guidance to Design Engineers to ensure designs are fit for purpose.
The CandidateThe successful candidate will be either apprentice trained or HNC/HND qualified with experience working on depots, capable of reading wiring diagrams and writing technical documentation.The role will involve technical aspects as well as requiring hands-on engineering work.Essentials
  • Electrical engineering experience, capable of reading wiring diagrams
  • Able to write technical documents such as maintenance instructions
  • Previous experience of working on a live depot
Desirable
  • Either HNC qualified or apprentice trained
  • Experience working within Rail, Bus/Coach or Trams
