Job Description

Our client is a large production business based on the outskirts of Chesterfield (with easy access to Junction 29 of the M1). Due to continued success, our client is now looking to recruit a Shift Leader to manage one of their production shifts.Working 6pm-6am, your shift pattern will be 3 on, 1 day off, 3 on and then 7 days off.Reporting into the Production Manager, your duties will include:

  • Monitoring daily work. Identifying and analysing problems and introduce solutions
  • Providing leadership, support and guidance to your team ensuring optimum team performance
  • Responsible for the controlling and monitoring of all training
  • Ensuring all policies and procedures are strictly adhered to by all members of your staff
  • Maintaining formal personnel records
  • Manage the CAPA process for your area and ensure all actions are completed on time
  • Responsible for updating and reviewing departmental SOPs, SORs, RAs and OPLs
  • Responsible for conducting all relevant daily, weekly, monthly and year end counts
  • Responsible for communication of department performance to your team via daily / monthly meetings and team briefs
  • Assist in the investigation of internal and external complaints ensure accurate information is collected i.e. statements, documentation, photos etc.
  • Maintaining Housekeeping at targeted level within the department through the involvement of all team members to ensure areas are visitor ready at all times.
  • Accountable for the upkeep of your areas layout and ensure all locations are being adhered to at all times
  • Monitor KPI and performance to metrics, as to manage resources to achieve targets
  • Accountable for managing the Automated Count Process for your area
