Job Description

ConciergeLocation: Chesterfield - Devonshire HouseSalary up to £19,525Job Title: ConciergeWe have an opportunity for a Concierge to join our organisation.The Concierge will be based at Chesterfield - Devonshire HouseThe main duties of the post of Concierge will be to;Key ResponsibilitiesSecurity and Safety

  • To ensure the security of the premises at all times when on duty.
  • To keep a record of all significant events during the period of duty.
  • To record and report any incidents involving the residents mental, physical, or emotional state to the appropriate staff member at handover.
  • To respond to challenging behaviour and manage confrontation as trained, and by alerting the appropriate emergency services if required.
  • To maintain good working relationships with residents.
  • To liaise with all other relevant agencies as necessary.
  • To respond to the fire alarms, as trained, if they activate during the period of duty.
  • To comply with the Associations policy and procedure regarding confidentiality
  • To comply with the Associations procedures for reporting in and out of the workplace.
Concierge Duties
  • To monitor and manage access into the building ensuring that only residents, their invited visitors, and professionals carrying out their duties are allowed access.
  • To operate and manage site security and CCTV equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety regulations appropriate to the building and service, this includes completing relevant health & safety tasks delegated to you and your team.
  • To ensure regular patrols and inspections of all communal areas, including office space are being completed and also ensuring that they are kept clean and free of hazards including carrying out any immediate cleaning to ensure this.
  • To monitor and maintain of record of patrols and inspections using the record books and customer relationship management system.
  • To ensure that you are reporting repairs and maintenance issues.
  • To help prepare accommodation for new residents and/or out of hours as required.
  • Ensure handovers at the start and end of shift with operational staff.

Health and Safety
  • To be aware of the Associations policies and ensure they are carried out and that good practice is maintained.
  • It is your responsibility to take care of your own health and safety and that of your colleagues. See attached Appendix 1 - general employee H&S responsibilities. Once in post additional H&S responsibilities maybe delegated.
Co-production
  • To follow Adullams Co-Production Involvement and engagement plans in all aspects of service provision.
Relationships and Partnerships
  • To create, maintain and enhance effective working relationships both internally and externally, and to challenge inappropriate, unproductive behaviours or behaviours or values that do not replicate those of Adullam.
  • To cooperate with colleagues and promote and champion team working to ensure that the required contractual and performance outcomes are met.
Personal Development
  • Contribute to the overall development of the Association by using individual skills, strengths and abilities.
  • To actively participate in own supervision, annual performance review and objective setting.
  • To fulfil own agreed personal development and training programme.
General
  • To contribute positively to the Associations efforts to ensure "Excellent Stewardship" of Adullams resources by delivering services with economy, efficiency and effectiveness
  • Any other duties that are deemed appropriate to the post.
  • The responsibilities of this post may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the post or level of responsibility entailed.
