Job Description

Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Residential RefurbsDerbyshireSalary £28-£35k plus company car/allowanceHere at Howells Solutions we are working with a leading Social Housing contractor to recruit a proactive and keen to learn Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Derbyshire, working on residential refurbishments on behalf of a local authority.Travel will be required throughout East Mids & Yorkshire.This is a full time, permanent role, ideal for somebody who is looking to further their skills and develop their career with a market leading contractor.The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Measuring works
  • Submitting monthly applications to Client
  • Overseeing and managing the submission of V.Os, quotations or estimates to Client, ensuring that contract SOR rates are utilised wherever possible.
  • Raising POs where required.
  • Reconciling / validating internal material cost reports.
  • Processing subcontract applications and payment recommendations.
Ideal Candidate:
  • 1 - 3 years experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor
  • Must have confident communications skills.
  • Confident IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Office
