Graduate Cover Supervisor - HertfordshireAre you a recent graduate looking to gain school experience and exposure before going onto complete teacher training or a PGCE Are you interested in a rewarding and exciting career in Secondary schools where every day is different and you impact the livesof pupils every single dayTradewind is currently seeking for graduates across Hertfordshire who can start a year-long paid role starting this September in one of our excellent schools!***Graduate Teaching Assistants required for a large, supportive Academy in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire***Roles start September 2022 for the duration of the academic year ***Open to all graduates with a 2:1 or above or experienced Teaching Assistants ***Various roles available including SEN TA, LSA and Learning Mentor availableThis is a Good rated, consistently improving Academy who have a track record of developing graduates into key staff members. Facilities are superb having completed a redevelopment in 2016 and pupils and staff have a clear and obvious pride in their schooland its history. Behaviour is good and pupils achieve well. With scope to specialise in various roles including SEN, ASD, Intervention and various core subjects this is a great opportunity for Graduates looking to start their education career, No experienceis necessary but a strong academic background, confident and vibrant personality plus a hard-working ethos is!As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you can expect to receive the following:

  • A fantastic School -based experience in a modern purpose built Academy.
  • £70 - £90 p/day deepening on role, experience and pay method.
  • A great opportunity to gain experience from experienced, capable and professional teaching staff.
  • Access to professional development via both the school and Tradewind.
  • A possible opportunity to go on to do teacher training via a school-based teacher training programme or the support of a head teachers recommendation if applying for a PGCE.
The Graduate Teaching Assistant role requires:
  • A classroom presence and energy, able to inspire and lead by example. A flexible approach and positive outlook are essential.
  • Degree educated (ideally at least 2:1), with relevant A-Level and GCSE grades
  • Experience of youth / SEN work or experience is an advantage but not essential.
