Job Description

Be part of something rewarding, by joining Greater Anglia you’ll be helping our customers get from A to B. With a staff of over 2,500, we operate a busy commuter service from London Liverpool Street to destinations across the east of England.We have an excellent opportunity within our Customer Service Team on the West for an Area Relief Automatic Ticket Gate (ATG) Operator. Covering stations between Cheshunt and Bishops Stortford. The schedule includes both early and late shifts and some weekends.Role and AccountabilityWe are looking for enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to provide our customers with excellent customer service, whilst ensuring that ticketless travel and fraud is reduced through pro-active monitoring of our Automatic Ticket Gates and also dealing with some challenging situations. In addition, you will be responsible for the safe operation of the gate line, fault reporting and keep-ing your work area clean and tidy. You will need to be customer focused, approachable and consistently looking to improve our customers’ journeys by understanding their individual needs.Experience, knowledge and Qualifications Required.If you are professional, friendly and flexible, this could be the role for you. You will need to be a problem solver, and be able to think on your feet, as you will encounter many different situations daily. You will work as part of a team, creating strong working relationships with your colleagues, as well as creating a welcoming environment by interacting with our customers on a daily basis.
