Assistant AccountantCambridge (Cherry Hinton)£30,000-£35,000 per annumAn exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading organisation, with satellite offices in Cherry Hinton, Cambridge. This client is looking for a career driven and dynamic Assistant Accountant to join their small team, taking responsibility for a varietyof duties, and taking increased responsibility over time.Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will include the following:-Ownership of the Purchase Ledger, taking responsibility for all payments and reconciliations-Preparation of monthly journals-Raising, posting and reconciling sales invoices and managing the sales ledger-Ensure the weekly bank reconciliations, weekly cash forecast and movement reports are prepared accurately and submitted appropriately-Manage the maintenance of all banking and sales records whilst posting cashbook entries-Prepare and manage monthly reconciliations and journals for intercompany accounts-Prepare monthly statistical reports-Assist Head of Finance in Management Accounts ProcessThis client is looking for a driven candidate who is looking to develop a successful career. You will ideally be studying for ACCA/CIMA/AAT and will have solid accounting knowledge, and looking for the next step.You will need a mature and flexible attitude as you will be joining a currently small team, with a view to further recruitment of more junior staff in time. The role does have a transactional element, however this will be passed on to a more junior teammember within 6-12 months. In the meantime, you should be happy to get involved at all levels.This really is a great opportunity to join a growing team at an exciting time.
