Job Description

Technical Services Software Support Location: ChepstowPosition: Full time, PermanentSalary: Circa. £40,000 p/a DOEOur Client We are delighted to be partnered with this well-established, manufacturing business based in Chepstow. With a presence throughout the UK, they successfully manufacture high quality, premium aluminium products for a variety of high-profile customers. Theytake pride in ensuring their products offer high-performance solutions and exceed many industry standards.Our client is now recruiting for a knowledgeable Technical Software Support to join their journey in achieving sustainable growth through product innovation, technical expertise and market leadership. Committed to delivering high quality results to customers,this individual will liaise with software providers and programmers. Ensuring systems are supplied with intricate and precise details in orders to work efficiently and accurately for colleagues and customers.The Opportunity: Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, this role will be liaising with colleagues and external software programmers. Ensuring great communication and presentation throughout the business. Responsible for the technical development and validation ofthe estimating and production software packages used for the fabrication, pricing, and specification of systems. Ensuring systems are accurate and kept up to date.Responsibilities of Technical Software Services Support:

  • Provide correct and clear data to software programmers
  • Communicate between relevant departments to source and collate necessary information for programmers ensuring this is up to date
  • Deliver clear direction on operation of software during system processes
  • Ensure the software orders are completed by all fabricators, submitted to providers and recorded
  • Investigate any system complaints and resolve issues
  • Ensure software versions are updated regularly
  • Manage general customer release data packages against system releases
  • Ensure developments of products are kept on track and updated with set key release dates
  • Monitor pricing of product database making sure that all pricing data aligns in software packages, customer pricelist and business systems
  • Conduct CNC validation with colleagues and checking against technical manuals
  • and report changes if needed
  • Interpret formulas in addition to material and component lists
  • Uphold the companys professional and enthusiastic reputation
  • Observation Feedback to the R&D Manager for action if problems are caused by a product issue rather than incorrect fabrication or installation
  • Work towards company KPIs, contributing to training programmes
  • Fulfil company, customer and project requirements
  • Support in house teams with technicalities when necessary
  • Work in line with company processes and procedures
Required Experience:
  • Proven track record of being computer literate
  • 5 years experience within a similar role in a technical department within a fast growing company
  • Knowledge of LogiKal / Orgadata softwares
  • Ideally have background in the manufacture or fabrication industry
  • Familiar with the latest Building Regulations and Legislations
  • Strong knowledge across Microsoft Office platforms
  • Ability to define problems, collect data and conclude
