Job Description

Our client a start-up company are on the verge of a major breakthrough in the management of diabetes. Their medical device technology has a patented and real-time, non-invasive blood glucose monitor with the aim of benefiting millions of diabetes sufferersthe world over.They are growing quickly and looking to add a Technical Manager to the fold to help in the further development of the medical device by managing a team.The Technical Manager will be responsible for the following;

  • Delegating work and assignments to team members
  • Collaborating with the team to identify and fix technical problems
  • Ensuring product development aligns with user needs
  • Collaboration with suppliers and manufacturers
  • Creating end goals for the team
  • Checking that software and applications are updated
  • Supervising system modifications
  • Guiding the team through technical issues and challenges
  • Produce design control documentation to medical device regulatory standards
  • Liaising and working with the project coordinator
  • Collaborate with the regulatory team in order to meet the relevant standards
  • Present information to Directors/Board meetings as and when requested
  • Take on responsibility and accountability for the engineering team
Skills
  • The Technical Manager will understand software architecture and hardware development
  • People management and leadership
  • Project Management (ideally)
  • Understanding of software architecture
  • Systems testing skills
  • Experience in working with medical devices or relevant industry expertise
Desirable
  • Knowledge of wireless communication
  • Understanding of electronics
  • Python for testing, embedded coding, C, C++.
  • Product development lifecycle for regulated products
