Job Description

Page Personnel are actively seeking an Interim Recruitment Consultant for a successful manufacturing business in the Chepstow area on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced HR Manager recruiting various roles both internal and external.Client DetailsAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an Interim Recruitment Consultant to join the HR team of a successful manufacturing business. This is an exciting role to support the companys growth plans and involves supporting the HR Manager; with a focus on direct recruitment and training.DescriptionResponsibilities of the Recruitment Consultant

  • Main point of contact for recruitment enquiries both internal and external, ensuring candidate is given the best impression during the application process;
  • Manage the recruitment process by liaising directly with hiring managers and candidates to create job adverts and use direct methods to source candidates;
  • Monitoring job board applications and pre-selecting of candidates through application screening, telephone interviewing and the use of online tests and arranging and participating in interviews with hiring managers where necessary;
  • Providing timely feedback to candidates
  • Proactively identify initiatives to drive direct recruitment activity; including mapping and sourcing potential candidates against current vacancies;
  • Direct sourcing of candidates via various channels;
  • Support the onboarding process by assisting the HR Manager; generating and issuing job offer letters and contractual paperwork to new starters;
  • Ensuring the new starter process is fully completed including; undertaking standard employment checks (right to work, ID checks etc), preparation of new starter packs and induction scheduling etc;
  • Ensure that all onboarding system-based HR & HS&E records are maintained in an accurate and timely manner (and ensure that data integrity is maintained at all times) as prescribed by regulatory, legislative and company procedures;
  • Any other duties as requested by line management.
    • ProfileThe successful Recruitment Consultant will have:
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English;
  • Proven experience in in-house/volume recruitment;
  • Experience in the manufacturing/fenestration industry would be desirable;
  • Experience in using HR information systems (HRIS) would be desirable;
  • Flexible and willing to learn;
  • Experience of delivering/facilitating training inhouse;
  • Good knowledge of MS Office packages including Work and Excel to create reports; and
  • CIPD Level 3 qualified or working towards, or student CIPD member (desirable)
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills;
  • Ability to prioritise and manage tasks to meet deadlines and quality standards;
  • Good interpersonal skills;
