Job Description

Job Title: Product ManagerLocation: ChepstowPay Range/details: £36,000 per annumContract Type: Permanent My client, based in Chepstow, is a leading manufacturer within their field and is looking to grow their team. They are looking to recruit a Product Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for supporting the development ofnew residential products and to manage the life cycle of the existing residential range in line with business, product and innovation plans.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Manager

  • Researching and identifying new opportunities supported by market data including the voice of the customer
  • Managing the product development programme from inception through to post launch aftercare
  • Managing and driving policies and processes for the life cycle of the products
  • Keeping knowledge of the market trends and changes up to date, including regulations, standards, competitor analysis and benchmarking
  • Performing qualitative and quantitative research with customers and market to provide insight that will support the business goals and objectives
  • Monitoring and analysing market trends, regulations and standards to identify new products and service opportunities in order to feed the continual product program
  • Managing and implementing NPD for all residential products to both internal and external customers using the company stage gate process in partnership with all departments.
  • Working in partnership with the business to deliver the agreed product programme using the Stage Gate process in a timely manner to market
  • Planning and implementing all new product launches
  • Planning with the Marketing Communications Manager clear briefings in order to develop and implement an effective communications plan
  • Using effective analytic skills manage, monitor and analyse existing products for productivity, sales, profitability and ROI
  • Price Management for all residential products, including implementing effective tools and policies to support the Sales Teams
  • Distributing statistical information in a clear, concise and timely manner
  • Working within budget and aiding the Head of R&D and Product Development with the development of the annual departmental product development plan and budget
  • Managing in conjunction with the Marketing Communications Manager the product/system brand guidelines
  • Managing the implications and communications of Engineering Change in conjunction with the business
  • Supporting and engaging with the group to develop joint cross products and services
Qualifications & RequirementsProduct Manager
  • Experience within a product management role or degree (or equivalent) qualified
  • Experience in dealing in manufacturing and understanding their applications
  • Extensive price management experience
  • Excellent level of IT literacy
  • Advanced mathematical and analytical skills
  • Strong communication, organisational and time management skills
  • Strong networking skills with previous experience of building and maintaining relationships with customers
  • Ability to work flexibly and proactively
