Job Description

Have you recently graduated in a Networking, Communications, Electronics or IT related discipline Are you fascinated by the Internet of Things and how wireless technology can solve problems in the workplace If so this established and ever-evolvingbusiness could be for you. A graduate engineer is required to join the technical team and work on the deployment of wireless and radio-based technology into client sites. Supporting a new range of wireless products based on the Internet of things you will receive full training andsupport to be able to execute the full duties and manage your own projects.On a day to day basis your role will involve:

  • Testing and assisting with developing new wireless products for deployment
  • Handling components and dealing with subcontractors
  • Programming and configuring systems and PC based software, and testing circuit boards.
  • Providing technical support to onsite installation support and customers both remotely and on site
  • Investigating isolating and driving problems solving for issues reported by the customer
  • Working within ISO9001 quality systems to provide and manage documentation
About the applicant Applicants will ideally have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Software, Networking, or Telecommunications related discipline. YOu must have an interest in wireless systems such as WiFi, 4G/5G, Zigbee, Bluetooth, Tetra and DMR. Any experience with configuringIP-based systems and wireless networks would be useful. The willingness and ability to learn from your colleagues and progress within the company are paramount. You will be able to demonstrate a diagnostic mind and the tenacity to deal with and correct faults.As you will be dealing with business customers, you must be a strong and confident communicator, able to deliver good customer service and deal respectfully with clients, suppliers, and team members alike.Experience in working with wireless systems and networks and software programming would be a bonus but full training will be given. Experience working as a Technician in the industry would also be beneficial but is not essential.
