Job Description

Engineering Manager Location: ChepstowPosition: Full time, PermanentSalary: £50,000 + Bonus & BenefitsOur Client Autograph Recruitment are delighted to be partnered with a well-established, successful business who are currently experiencing significant growth. They are seeking a full time Engineering Manager to join their hard-working, fast-paced, busy team.Managing a small team, the successful candidate is required to deliver great service through an efficient, safe, timely department. Consistent and able to complete tasks thoroughly applying intelligence and broader understanding where necessary. Good underpressure, punctual, and flexible in order to uphold the companys admirable reputation.This is a great opportunity for a local Engineering Manager to be a part of a valued, growing team. As well as having a very competitive benefits and bonus in return.Responsibilities of Engineering Manager:

  • Planning and organising a professional maintenance service to all areas of the site
  • Lead, manage, control and develop employees (including absence, performance
  • management, grievances and Health and Safety Training)
  • Sourcing machine replacement equipment to repair unplanned issues
  • Monitor and continuously improve machine effectiveness and downtimes, ensuring all machinery is fit for purpose, compliant and safe
  • Delegate and support in undertaking routine maintenance checks
  • Support in identifying fault diagnosis across the facilities, equipment, and systems
  • Ensuring that all maintenance operations are completed timely, and in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Recruiting and training engineers and operators on machinery
  • Liaising with other Senior Managers and assisting colleagues when required, informing of any breakdowns or malfunctions of equipment
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Must have team management experience
  • Essential background in maintenance in engineering environments
  • Ability to analyse data and interpret the information effectively to continuously improve the department and/or team
  • Capability in the use of a range of software diagnosis tools
  • Carry out all operations professionally and enthusiastically
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Strong communicator with excellent organisational and time management skills
