Job Description

Business Development ManagerOur client is a professional telecoms asset management service specialist and consultancy. They buy new and refurbished multi-vendor telecom networking equipment from their partners worldwide. Refurbishing and reselling or responsibly recycling if parts are not fit for reuse. More recently, they have extended their services portfolio and are now proud specialists in the design, build and whole-life support of communications systems. With sustainability at the core of the company’s vision, their services work to extend the life of electronic equipment and avoid waste, all while generating revenue and reducing expenses for clients.We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join the fast-growing company based in Chepstow. The main function of this role is to drive business development as part of the Sales team to generate new opportunities and build relations with repeat business.The key responsibilities of the Business Development Manager are:

  • Open new opportunities inside fresh accounts
  • Building DM contacts, hunting down new opportunities within existing accounts
  • Activity measurement largely based on outbound calls (pre-set and cool/warm)
  • The company provides comprehensive CRM and database tools to aid prospecting to compliment the new business strategy
  • Maintain regular phone or F2F contact with existing accounts ensuring that knowledge of the needs, expectations, challenges and requirements are up to date and well communicated
  • Generate sales among client accounts, including upselling and cross-selling
  • Maintain and develop a relationship with DMs within customer base to gain trust and transparency for ongoing and future opportunities
  • Ensure a high level of Customer Service, resolving and where applicable escalating an issues/complaints to ensure a high level of service. This may include Interface with other internal departments
  • To achieve set monthly targets in line with company expectations as determined by the company
  • Provide accurate detailed monthly and quarterly forecasts and ensure information on CRM is tidy and up to date
  • The Successful Candidate:
  • Be successful and demonstrate experience of identifying, opening and growing new accounts
  • Be a proven accomplished Sales Professional with experience in the Telecoms/IT sector
  • Commercially astute and able to quickly identify client challenges and possible solutions
  • Business to business sales experience
  • Proof of over-achievement of set targets and the ability to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction will be expected
  • Additional languages are highly desirable
