Job Description

Our client is currently recruiting Team Leaders and Assistant Team Leaders to deliver Summer 2020 to young people from across the Essex.They urgently require a commitment of workers to attend the assessment day on the 14th March 2020 as part of the selection process.These are seasonal roles with the first wave commencing on 29th June with the last wave ending on 28th August.The role:

  • This is an intensive programme which helps young people bond as a team and learn new things, empowering them to achieve things together that wouldn’t have possible alone.
  • Teams will camp overnight at a residential centre in Staffordshire for four nights and five days. This residential is all about young people building confidence, getting to know their team and challenging themselves. The week will be jam packed with activities like raft building, high ropes or archery.
  • Staff will support young people to overcome their fears to take part in various outdoor activities and build positive relationship with each other.
  • The Teams will stay at a University in student accommodation. This University style residential helps young people become more independent, learn and enhance skills to become more employable. In teams they’ll learn about social and community issues and be challenged in lots of different and exciting ways to prepare themselves for adulthood.
  • Using their newly-acquired skills, teams design and deliver a social action project in their local area using one of our youth centres as their base for the final one or two weeks.
