Job Description

Are you looking for the next step in your insurance career within an award-winning multi-brand companyDo you have PI experience in motor insuranceRole: Claims Handler- Personal injury Location: Flexible working with 4 days at home and 1 day in one of the following offices closest to you- Chelmsford, Manchester, Haywards Heath, Tunbridge Wells or WhitstableHours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pmSalary: £20,000-£30,000 Due to expansion and growth, we have an excellent opportunity for a Personal Injury Claims Handler to join a supportive team in one of 5 locations: Chelmsford, Manchester, Haywards Heath, Tunbridge Wells or Whitstable.You will be working for an innovative and expanding group of insurance companies, specialising in Motor Insurance Services and you will be given an opportunity for a career with a business, renowned for their staff reward and recognition.In return, you will be given access to:

As a Personal Injury Claims Handler, you will be overseeing a caseload of people who have been involved in an accident with one of our Policy Holders where an injury was sustained. Responsibilities
  • Responding promptly and pro-actively to incoming telephone calls and correspondence by use of telephone, e-mail and letter
  • Managing a caseload of claims whilst utilising an effective diary system which ensures that cases are reviewed on a regular basis
  • Controlling claim cost by achieving most economical settlement
  • Adhering to agreed personal authority limits, referring to line manager for authorisation where activity exceeds s3uch limits
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
Skills/Experience required
  • Claims Handling experience within Personal Injury and Motor Insurance OR
Credit Hire/Indemnity/Liability/Third Party risks/other associated heads of claim
  • Strong communication skills
  • Exposure to the MOJ or OIC Portal
  • An authority limit of around £25K for claims
