The role is to support the manager with the oversight and running of the Mid OT Hubwhere Occupational Therapists sit integral with the Neighbourhood, focused teams and Discharge to Assess and are committed to improving the quality of life for the individuals they see.The Deputy Team manager post is a new and exciting opportunity to innovate and develop the strength of all OTs working in the Mid Hub, whilst supporting each OT to continue to develop their role and the significance of occupational therapy within their ownlocalised team. The post will continue to promote the principles and practice of OT, which makes our profession unique, whilst embracing the benefits to the adults, of our working within a localised and neighbourhood Multi-Disciplinary Approach.With sound experience of occupational therapy practice and a desire to mentor staff and manage individuals and team performance, the DTM will be able to build on strong working relationships with all the teams in Mid. The skill of the DTM will be to recognisewhere OT can positively make a difference and to support the OTs ongoing professional development and support the development of the wider team members in approaches and systems, that keeps activity and occupation central to the support we give to facilitatebest outcomes for the adults we see.Your key responsibilities will include:
