My client are a leading designer, developer and manufacturer of specialised components and subsystems,enabling some of the worlds leading OEMs to deliver innovative systems for medical and science, aerospace, defence and industrial and commercial applications.Theyare seeking a Manufacturing Team Leader to join their ever expanding team.The Manufacturing Team Leader is responsible for managing a production areas performance managing a team of operators. The role will also involve working closely alongside Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Quality and Equipment Maintenance so strongcommunication skills are essential.The Manufacturing Team Leader responsibilities :Skills Matrix Management of their whole team, this will involve analysis of any skills gaps that exist and the creation of a training plan to close the gaps with minimum interruption to output.Performance Management which will involve managing their team using the disciplinary processes.Constraint management with regards to equipment downtime, absence management and ensuring the provision of multi-skilled operators.Managing the production team to work to the latest Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Running various Key Performance Indicator (KPIs) reports and then managing the production area to ensure that these KPIs are maintained within the targets defined.Team Leaders will also be expected to assist in equipment planning for their production area alongside Manufacturing Management.Carrying out audits of the production area and maintaining an action list for the resolution of any issues that arise from the audit.Qualifications:GCSE level or equivalent English, Maths, Science and ITResponsibility of delivering to specified targetsA basic knowledge of Lean tools/approaches e.G. 5S, Just-in-Time, JidokaTo apply for the Manufacturing Team Leader role please send your CV to or call Abbie on for more information, otherwise we always welcome the opportunity to discuss other roles.
