Job Description

Claims HandlerRoleWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Claims Handler to join the team at Citynet.You will provide a quality Claims service to Citynets Agents and Underwriters in order to ensure the Customer is treated fairly in all transactions and correspondence and for that service to encourage the client to continue using Citynet and contribute tothe future success of the company.Responsibilities

  • To receive new claims advices from our producing brokers and obtain the relevant policy details from the internal system and identify the appropriate insurer
  • Register new claim on Websure, providing acknowledgement and claims reference to producing brokers
  • Advise insurer of new claim through already established procedure
  • Receiving further claims information on existing claims and providing this to insurers
  • Maintaining and updating of claims files on Websure
  • Set up new claims on ECF and processing of subsequent advices and payment requests on ECF
  • Liaison with producing brokers regarding general claims matters, updates etc.
  • Preparation of Bordereaux for selected insurers as requested
  • To instruct solicitors/adjusters where required
  • To report any claim exceeding GBP 100,000 to Claims Manager
  • To report any claim where you identify, or have been advised of, potential coverage issue to Claims Manager
Experience
  • You will need to have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
  • You must have a general knowledge of the insurance industry
  • You will need to be organised, have excellent attention to detail, be a good communicator and be able to work effectively with you team
  • You will need to be able to prioritise workload, develop and maintain relationships and be able to work under pressure
  • You will need to be an advanced user on all Microsoft packages
  • You will need good skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access Database
