Job Description

Assistant Management AccountantRapidly Growing Business Services Group, Chelmsford£30,000 - £35,000 + study support & benefitsThe CompanyAn Assistant Management Accountant is sought by a leading private equity backed business services group. This fast-expanding business is responsible for the full end-to end service for clients that include some of the worlds most enviable portfolios. The groupseeks a part-qualified accountant to undertake an Assistant Management Accountant role supporting the finance team and financial controller in producing month-end management accounts.Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Management Accountant

  • Assist with analysing and preparing monthly margin analysis with commercial interpretation of the numbers
  • Assist with month end balance sheet reconciliations, controls, and preparation of supporting schedules across European entities
  • Supporting the Financial Controller in the preparation of bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Processing a small number of all invoices for multiple European countries
  • Support the annual year end accounting and audit process
Skills & Attributes of the Assistant Management Accountant
  • Part qualified professional accounting qualification ACA/ACCA/CIMA or AAT
  • A graduate is preferred but not essential
  • Knowledge of accounting terms and concepts as well as understanding of finance regulations and legislations
  • Driven to develop and gain promotion within 12 months to management accountant as the business grows across Europe and North America
  • Deadline focused, flexible and adaptable
  • Proactive in finding improved ways of working
  • Experience in Xero would be advantageous
  • Strong excel skills
