Looking for a passionate and experienced Year 2 teacher to join our school located in the beautiful area of Cheadle, Stockport.This exciting Year 2 teaching position is available to start in September 2023 on a temp-perm basis, offering the successful candidate stability and security in a highly reputable school. The role is paid to scale, with a salary of up to £200 per day, andas a temp-perm position, there is the opportunity to secure a permanent contract following the initial period of temporary employment.This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving and supportive school community, where you will have access to ongoing professional development and the chance to work with dedicated and enthusiastic colleagues.Year 2 Teacher - CheadleThe successful Year 2 teacher will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing learning environment where students can thrive and reach their full potential. You will possess excellent communication skills and have a genuine passion for teaching childrenand driving progress not only academically but as social, emotional, personal and physical skills too.Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering engaging and challenging lessons that meet the needs of all students.
• Collaborate with other teachers to plan and deliver cross-curricular learning experiences.
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom culture that fosters respect, kindness, and a love of learning.
• Using adaptive teaching and learning strategies to make learning accessible for all
• Use formative and summative assessment methods to determine next steps in learning and use data tracking tools to highlight areas for progression
• Follow the Read Write Inc phonics scheme of learning and use supplemental resources to support reading and writing skills
• Develop a fantastic, trusting rapport with children staff and families and value parents as partners in the learning process
• Contribute to all areas of school life including parent/family evenings, Christmas/summer fairs, parties, talent competitions and much more!

Requirements:

• A relevant teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS)
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Year 2 highly desirable)
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest educational research and trends.
• Excellent references which support previous experience in the primary setting - KS1
• Enhanced DBS check/overseas police check If applicable.
