Job Description

A Vendor Scheduler is required for a 12 month contract to potentially permanent opportunity in Cheadle Hulme. The role will be to start as soon as possible and has a competitive salary/package attached. There are also significant opportunities for progressionwithin this organisation.Client DetailsA large industrial business with sites across Europe and a manufacturing plant in Cheadle Hulme.DescriptionAs a Vendor Scheduler you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring that supplier orders are scheduled weekly and the master schedule is accurately maintained
  • Coordinating the scheduling activity to achieve appropriate, budgeted levels of inventory.
  • Maintaining the process to ensure critical parts are controlled, reported and tracked daily
  • Supporting and investigating Supplier KPIs
  • Completing robust recovery plans when there is a supplier failure
  • Supplier visits to improve quality of service
  • Following escalation processes to highlight critical issues
  • Raising and reporting the COPQ charges
  • Rectifiing goods received issues
ProfileThe successful Vendor Scheduler will have:
  • Previously worked in a similar Scheduler/Planning position within manufacturing - ESSENTIAL
  • Strong IT skills - ESSENTIAL
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - ESSENTIAL
  • Strong stakeholder management skills - ESSENTIAL
  • Used SAP - DESIRABLE
