Job Description

Here at Human Appeal we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Strategic Corporate Relationships Manager to join our team remotely based within the UK. You will join us on a full-time basis as part of an initial 1-year fixed term contract with a viewto progressing into a permanent role. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £37-55k per annum.Human Appeal is a faith-based charity that aims to abolish poverty by providing humanitarian aid, sustainable development programs and championing advocacy for our beneficiaries worldwide.As a Senior Strategic Corporate Relationships Manager, the successful candidate will build a new organisation-wide function within Human Appeal to lead and coordinate strategic mission-led partnerships working with the private sector to alleviate poverty,and rebuild lives and communities. To develop a 10-year strategic vision, with immediate and mid-term goals, innovative models, strategies, approaches, products, services, tactics, and compelling stories across platforms to engage the private sector. To leadthe development of an effective measurement and impact framework for private-sector partnerships that go beyond financial measures and aim for strategic value, in coordination with our evaluation team. To develop innovative products, services, and brand partnershipmodels. To develop and promote private-third sector partnerships to support globally alleviation of global poverty, rebuild lives, and provide long-term community development programmes. To serve as the focal point of contact for all Human Appeal teams witha desire to establish strategic and mutually beneficial relationships with the private sector, all with a view to achieve the organisational mission.Benefits of joining us as our Senior Strategic Corporate Relationships Manager include:

Key duties and responsibilities of the Senior Strategic Corporate Relationships Manager:
  • Achieve income generation targets: year 1 £150k rising to £3m in year 4
  • Develop corporate income from new and existing corporate partners with a plan to maintain and grow income in subsequent years. Building strategic partnerships with corporate donors: year 1 x 5 corporates rising to 30 x corporates in year 3
  • Secure payroll-giving partnerships: 2 corporates in year 1 rising to15 corporates in year 3
  • Map, monitor, report and evidence all elements of CSR activity on a monthly basis
  • Submit 15 funding tender & bid opportunities in year one
What were looking for in our Senior Strategic Corporate Relationships Manager:
  • Ideally degree-educated in a related field, e.g. Communications OR 5-10 years experience in a similar role.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) experience, including policy writing and management
  • Experience in establishing and delivering impactful, multi-faceted, strategic partnerships between the third and private sectors
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with a wide range of people
  • Experience designing and executing a strategy to achieve organisational goals
  • Knowledge and understanding of sustainable business models and frameworks, as well as impact measurement frameworks
  • Knowledge of relevant platforms and governing bodies
Desirable:
  • Knowledge and understanding of the charity sector and the barriers to ending poverty, supporting social injustice, by building social, economic, and cultural capital and developing communities
  • Computer literate, with knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Fluent written and spoken English is essential. Additional languages such as Arabic, Urdu, are desirable
