Job Description

Sanctuary Health is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Mental Health Occupational Therapist to work inCheadle, part-time on a CAMHS Orchard Acute Assessment Ward. The ideal candidate will possess highly developed specialist knowledge ofOccupational Therapy and be registered with the HCPC.The salary for this permanent Occupational Therapist job is £18,514 per annum (Assignment rate)Main Duties:

  • Ensure ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the Occupational Therapy process in line with sound evidence based practice
  • Attend MDT, CPA, case conferences, referral meetings and nursing handover
  • Manage a defined caseload using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions and records all interventions
  • Abide by the College of Occupational Therapy Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct and the College of Occupational Therapy Professional Standards for OT Practice
  • Develop skills and knowledge through participation in a Professional Development Planning process to meet the competency framework
  • Work with CAMHS setting providing a service to clients who are deemed to have complex and challenging needs
  • Manage and supervise TI staff
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
  • Degree or equivalent within Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registered as an Occupational Therapist
  • Recent NHS experience either pre or post qualification
  • Flexible approach and attitude
