Job Description

Infrastructure Engineer (Infrastructure, Server, Active Directory, VMware, Azure, Office365, AD, Intune, VPN, DNS/DHPC, Anti-Virus) - Permanent - CheadleCharles Simon Associates are currently looking for an Infrastructure Engineer on a permanent basis for a UK wide business that have experienced growth over the past 12 months based in Cheadle.Salary: £30,000-£37,000 per annumLocation: CheadleSkills/Requirements for the Infrastructure Engineer:

  • Previous experience in a similar Infrastructure/3rd Line Engineer role
  • Strong skills within Active Directory & Windows Server
  • Experience of working within Office365 and MS Exchange
  • Basic networking experience using DNS/DHCP
  • The ability to work independently
  • MS Azure administration experience
  • Virtualization experience with a preference for VMware
    • Start date for the Infrastructure Engineer is ASAPThe Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for:
  • Deal with 3rd line support tickets transferred by the Service Desk
  • Supporting, Maintaining and Troubleshooting of Microsoft Active Directory, Server and Exchange
  • Creation of support documents
  • Providing root cause analysis
  • The implementation of all IT policies and procedures
  • Mentoring and coaching of more junior members of the IT team when needed
  • Measure and troubleshoot systems performance and security
  • Take ownership of incidents and problems, ensuring systems and users are kept up to date
