Job Description

Advice Centre Group is a leading specialist in Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs), dedicated to helping individuals in financial difficulty find viable solutions to manage their debts. With a commitment to excellent customer service and ethical financialpractices, we provide personalized support to our clients, empowering them to regain control of their finances and achieve a debt-free future.Position Overview:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Risk and Compliance. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our operations adhere to all relevant regulations and standards while proactively identifyingand mitigating potential risks to our business.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee risk management and compliance strategies in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential areas of concern and develop effective mitigation plans.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and oversee all interactions and communications related to compliance matters.
  • Lead internal audits and inspections to assess compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that risk and compliance considerations are integrated into business processes and decision-making.
  • Stay abreast of changes in regulations and industry trends and provide guidance and recommendations to senior management on potential impacts and necessary actions.
  • Foster a culture of compliance and risk awareness throughout the organisation through training, education, and communication initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a senior risk management or compliance role, preferably within the financial services sector or a similar industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including but not limited to those governing IVAs and financial services.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting risk assessments, audits, and inspections, with a strong understanding of risk management methodologies and practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills, able to identify, assess, and prioritise risks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
