Job Description

As Group Financial Accountant you will assist the Group Financial Controller with activities undertaken by the Group Finance team, which could include Head Office and Group management accounts, budgeting and forecasting, Group (and individual legal entity)statutory accounts and M&A activities.Client DetailsMy client is a circa £250 million turnover, listed business who operate in the Manufacturing space. They have manufacturing plants internationally and have also recently made some international acquisitions.Description

  • Involvement in the production of Head office and the consolidated Group monthly management accounts.
  • Involvement in the production of forecasts, budgets and strategic plans for Head Office entities and the consolidated group.
  • Reviewing and challenging monthly submissions from the operating units, and assisting with improving the control environment across the business.
  • Assist in the preparation of the IFRS Group Annual Report and half year accounts, including being a key point of contact for Groups external auditors.
  • Involvement in the production of individual legal entity statutory accounts.
  • Involvement in the management of stock accounting procedures and stock provisions group wide.
  • Involvement in acquisitions and on-boarding activities.
  • Preparation of analysis to support the delivery of the Groups Annual and Strategic Plans.
  • Involvement in the monthly 13 week Group cash flow forecasting procedures.
Profile
  • A qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • This role would suit someone who has trained in a Practice environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong Excel skills
