Job Description

Here at Human Appeal we have an exciting opportunity for a Global PR, Research and Advocacy Executive to join our charity on a full-time basis as part of an initial 1-year fixed term contract with a view to progressing into a permanent role. In return, you will receive a competitive salary between £25K - £27Kannum.Human Appeal is a faith-based charity that aims to abolish poverty by providing humanitarian aid, sustainable development programs and championing advocacy for our beneficiaries worldwide.As a, Global PR, Research and Advocacy Executive you will play an integral role in supporting the Global PR, Advocacy & Research Manager on ongoing projects, with special emphasis on supporting global PR and advocacy efforts. To supporton-the-ground UK Advocacy activations and engagements and to write and research on PR and government relations topics. All in order to ensure continuity of the PR, advocacy and research function and to ultimately promote brand awareness to raise the profileof Human Appeal in order to attract new, and retain exisiting, donors.We are ideally looking to appoint somebody immediately to this role.Benefits of joining us as ourGlobal PR, Research and Advocacy Executive include:

Key duties and responsibilities of the Global PR, Research and Advocacy Executive:
  • Support maintaining positive TOV from media mentions
  • Maintain communications with UK MP’s
  • Support thought leadership studies/reports
  • Ensure VIP’s engage with Human Appeal events
  • Grow the reach of Human Appeal’s advocacy
  • Growing Human Appeal’s share of voice
What we’re looking for in our Global PR, Research and Advocacy Executive:
  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant field is desirable, or qualified by experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in PR and Advocacy roles.
  • 2 years’ experience in a comparable position in an iNGO desirable
  • Computer literate, particularly in MS Office Suite.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is essential. Additional languages such as Arabic, Urdu are desirable
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about the international development sector
