Job Description

We have an exciting opening for an enthusiastic Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team at Swan Retail. This permanent position is well suited to an individual that is looking to advance their career in software development and gain hands-on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace.This core role will work alongside an established team providing high quality software to the Retail industry. We are offering the opportunity to work on a leading retail solution as well as working on other new, innovative products to help keep our customers ahead of the curve.Responsibilities in the role will include:

  • Delivering high quality code
  • Maintaining existing and developing new programs using .NET and React
  • Contributing to the specification and creation of new developments
  • Keeping up to date with best practice and bringing new best practice guidance to the team
    • About You:We are looking for a natural problem solver with software development experience in C#. Taking a proactive approach to your learning and always keeping a lookout for new and improved ways in which to tackle problems is an integral part of this role.A successful candidate would be expected to communicate effectively with colleagues, both technical and non-technical, as well as supporting customer understanding. Efficient time management and the ability to meet agreed targets is also important.Although flexible working from home opportunities are available, this role will be primarily based onsite at our Cheadle Staffordshire office.Essential Skills:Proven experience in:
  • C# and the .NET Framework
  • HTML, CSS and other front-end technologies
  • JavaScript frameworks such as React and Angular
  • Writing complex SQL queries
  • API integration experience using REST
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Organizational skills
  • An analytical mind
    • Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in eCommerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento
  • Knowledge of retail systems and financial systems
  • Experience in building front-end React applications communicating with back-end services
