Job Description

We currently have an opportunity for a Finance Assistant for a well known Company in Stoke on Trent The purpose of this role is to manage client funded bank accounts on behalf of all Claims Management teams and their clients and to produce monthly Claims Management reconciliations and statements using Excel, alongside supporting colleagues within the ClaimsFinance team.The role has the opportunity to build a long standing career.Pay:

  • up to 19K
Hours:
  • 37.5 / Mon-Fri 09:00-17:30
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Undertake bank reconciliations, client reconciliations and supplier reconciliations using Excel as per client and company requirements
  • Monitor and control client accounts and client funds in line with client and company service standards, escalating any issues internally or to clients as required
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation queries in a timely manner
  • Record and allocate all receipts and credits in a timely manner
  • Process supplier invoices
  • Process refunds to clients
  • Complete payment processes via online banking, cheque and internal systems within SLA
  • Process cheques in and out plus bank cheques
  • Process Davies fee payments
  • Deliver accurate client bordereaux to strict deadlines
  • Process bank account applications
  • Answer and resolve telephone and email queries in a timely manner
  • Liaise with staff from across the Davies Group, external clients and suppliers
  • Support the oversight and development of the Claims Finance team including any training and development needs
  • Adhere to Company systems and procedures
  • Actively promote the principle of Treating Customers Fairly
Skills & Experience:
  • Good reconciliation experience
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines whilst prioritising work load
  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Excellent telephone manner and Customer Service experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • The ability to work in a team as well as individually
  • AAT training supported
