Job Description

Are you looking for an opportunity within Administration A modern and friendly financial services company within the Stockport area are looking for their next Claims Administrator. The role will involve processing and administration of claims and speaking to customers over the telephone. You will need previousadministration experience within an office-based setting and be comfortable to speak to customers and work in a fast - paced environment. It is important that you have an understanding of Excel, as this is used a lot in the role. If you have excellent communication and attention to detail and you are confident dealing with customers, then we would love to hear from you. This is a permanent position, offering the ability to start a fantastic career, paying up to £22,000pa dependent upon experience.What can you expect in the role of Claims Administrator

  • Sending out new claim packs when required and processing new claim notifications
  • Requesting medical evidence necessary for the processing of claims
  • Ability to interpret and communicate decisions made by the claim handlers and issue the appropriate correspondence
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work to agreed service levels
  • Reviewing emails and adding to files with correct labelling
  • Actively chasing outstanding information on claims
  • Correctly recording all claims management information within the established spread sheets
  • Dealing with claim queries received by phone or e-mail to an acceptable standard
  • Processing and scanning incoming post
  • Being fully aware of all products sold, and developing a thorough knowledge of new product offerings
  • Assisting with the processing of payments, including issuing claims payment letters to customers
  • carrying out other duties and responsibilities as required
We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:
  • Previous administration experience within an office based setting
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deal with customers over the telephone
  • Competent using MS Office packages, including Excel
  • High attention to detail with accurate numerical skills
  • Ability to multitask and work well within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • You must be educated to GCSE level (Maths & English) or equivalent
