Holidays:Year 1 is 25 days plus bank holidays, rising to 30 plus bank holidays after 5 yearsSeashell Trust have an exciting opportunity for an inspirational Head of Childrens Services and Registered Manager to join our innovative and ambitious organisation and GOOD rated Childrens Home.Seashell is a national charitable trust with a heritage that stretches over almost 200 years. We support children and young adults with severe, profound and complex learning disabilities, sensory impairment and additional communication and physical needsfrom across the UK.We provide care and education, for children aged 3-18 years old and young adults aged 19-25 years of age. The children and young adults who learn with us also live with us. In April 2020 Seashell Trust was granted planning consent to developour new school and campus which will complement the bespoke homes that were built in 2015/16, so this is an excellent time to join the Trust as our site continues to develop and our aspiration and ambition grows.Role SummaryReporting to the Director of Care, the post holder will manage a Childrens Home registration of 24 Children and Young People. The Home is located on one campus and consists of 6 detached purpose built dwellings that sit in close proximity to each otherwithin a small private cul de sac. Each house can comfortably accommodate up to four children and young people, with a total capacity for 24 across the six residencies. (As at May 2021, 15 children are resident)The Head of Childrens Services and Registered Manager will hold one registration for all six of the childrens houses with Ofsted and will work within the Statutory Legislation as set out within the Care Standards Act 2000 and the Childrens Home regulations(2015) and Quality Standards. The Head of Service will assure the quality of care delivered and that the service is fully compliant with Ofsteds regulatory social care common inspection framework (SCCIF) and any additional relevant legislation.This post wouldsuit applicants who have previously managed and lead multiple services or who have worked in a senior operational management role on a large site.Requirements
